Mat Sadler pleased with Walsall loanee Rico Browne's progress
Mat Sadler has been pleased by the positive feedback Walsall defender Rico Browne has received on his loan spell at Tamworth.
Browne, who joined Walsall as a free agent in September, penned a one-month loan deal with the National League outfit last month.
The former Birmingham City academy defender has made four league appearances at right-back for the Lambs and Sadler revealed a decision will soon be made as to whether his loan will be extended further.
Sadler said: "He's done great. We've watched all of his games back and we do all of his clips with him.
"The good thing about having the link that we will hopefully strengthen with Tamworth is that he can train here.
"It's kind of hybrid so half the week with them and work the load out based on what he's doing with them. So we get to see him all the time.
"It's not like he's just gone out and we don't see anything of him which is a really good link to have between the two and hopefully we get to see that in the years ahead.
"He's done really well and has got some really good reports. We'll see what things look like for the next month and if we decide to carry it on and if they decide to carry it on. We'll have that conversation, nothing is decided yet."
Tamworth will face League One side Huddersfield Town under the lights at the Lamb Ground this evening after reaching the FA Cup first round for the first time since 2013.
And Sadler feels it will be a great experience for the young defender to showcase his quality in front of the TV cameras.
"They've got another exciting game for themselves to play on Friday night. We're really excited to see Rico play in that," he added.
"It'll be a great experience for Rico to come up against Huddersfield under the lights, TV cameras are there."
