Things have been quiet on the injury front with no fresh issues expected ahead of the weekend.

But Mat Sadler still has a couple of long-term issues to contend with. Here's the latest round-up from the Essington treatment room.

Dylan Thomas has returned from his loan spell at Bromsgrove Sporting after dislocating his shoulder.

Sadler was unable to confirm an exact recovery time but suggested he will be targeting a potential return to training in mid-December.

Boss Sadler confirmed a fortnight ago: "I think it's still another six weeks away before he starts training again. I'm not sure on that but I think it's about six weeks."

Josh Gordon is likely to be out of action until mid-January with a hamstring injury.

The striker, who re-joined on a permanent deal in the summer following his loan spell last term, underwent surgery at the end of September and was handed a four-month recovery period.

He has not been involved since limping off against Cheltenham Town on August 31.

Sadler said in late September: "He had his surgery on his hamstring so he'll be out for the next four months.

"We'll miss him for a similar time frame to Priestley Farquharson unfortunately."

Priestley Farquharson is expected to be absent for a similar time frame to Josh Gordon with the defender targeting a return in the New Year.

Farquharson has been missing with a thigh injury since August and was initially earmarked for a three-month absence.

But Sadler has since revealed that he is not expected to return until mid-January although he has returned to Essington as he continues his rehabilitation.

Sadler said: "We're still looking at the middle of January with them but it's good to have them moving about.

"It was really good last actually but just having Josh (Gordon) in full-time. We've missed him and his enthusiasm, his brightness and bubbliness. I think Priestley needed a gym partner as well so we've got them paired together and it's good to have them in."
