Scott Baker powers through
Tipton’s Scott Baker made it through to the second round of the BDO darts World Championships with a convincing 3-0 win over Ross Montgomery on his Lakeside debut.
Baker took the first set 3-1 and never looked back against his Scottish opponent. ‘The Mod’ sealed his place in the last 16 with a 103 checkout.
Baker said: “It was a tough draw and taking the win is all I wanted.
“I’ve been playing well and that game proves where my hard work is going. I had brilliant support, I appreciate every one of them.”
