Broomhall brushes his rivals aside in Hagley
Richard Broomhall swept to victory in the Match Pool Open at Wassell Grove Fisheries in Hagley.

Conditions were still and calm during the contest and Broomhall (Beechdale AC) eradicated the rest of the field on peg 42 with an impressive 92-14-0 of carp to 7lb, caught on the tip and straight lead with maggot.
Cliff Richards (M&B AC) followed with 21-14-0 of F1s to 3lb, nudging Mick Lane (Phoenix AC) into third on peg 16, where he returned 19-12-0 of carp to 6lb, bolstered by mixed silvers.
Graham Palmer led a 29-strong field in thePreston Innovations Boldings Pools Oopen match.
The Willows, Oak and Chestnut Pools saw action at the Bridgnorth complex with Palmer (Fitters AC) a clear winner on Willows peg 17 with an admirable 84-10-0 haul of carp to 7lb, caught on the waggler with bread, fished at mid-depth.
Scott Doodson (Dynamite Maver Midlands) came second on Oak peg 29, with 65-6-0 of carp to 6lb, ahead of Sedgley's Simon Christian, who recorded 54-0-0 at Chestnut peg 36.
The Blackfords Progressive Open was held on the Masters Pool at Shatterford Lakes in Shatterford near Kidderminster where Steve Davies (Blackfords) topped the standings from peg eight with four bream and two roach caught on the Method feeder with pellet.
Wednesfield-rod Kevin Tipton (Sensas) slotted into second with 8-2-0 from peg three. Prev Portik (Goodyear AC/Ian's Tackle) was third with just over twenty roach for 7-2-0 at peg 11.
Sensas Strike's Mark Traves took the Kidderminster & District AA Open.
Traves bagged a trio of chub on the waggler with maggot for a 7-8-0. Dave Foxall (KDAA) was second with 7-6-0 and Wolverhampton's Ian Hingley (4-10-0) third.
