Jelle Klassen will take centre stage for an evening of fun at the oche in the Cleveland Arms Sports Bar on Stowheath Lane,

The Dutch thrower saw off the legendary 16-time world champion 4-3 in sets, over an entertaining last 16 clash at London's Alexandra Palace last December.

Sky Sports viewers watched on live as Klassen, having missed a match dart at double 18 to cut off 'the Power' 4-2, tossed away the initiative.

Taylor levelled and was 2-0 up in legs during a deciding set, only for 'the Cobra' to bite back and come out on top 4-2 to progress, settling matters with an 11-dart finish.

The 31-year-old then defeated Alan Morris 5-4 in the quarter-finals, before his best-ever PDC worlds run was halted at the final four stage.

Defending champion Gary Anderson, on his way to a second straight title, whitewashed him 6-0 and hit the 2016 tournament's first nine-darter on the way.

Klassen did become the first player to win his next game after knocking Taylor out of the competition and is still the sport's youngest-ever world champion.

He was 21 days and 90 days old when he defeated Raymond van Barneveld 7-5 to win the BDO title at Lakeside in 2006. He's ranked 10th on the PDC Order of Merit.

He will take part in a leg against 12 punters on the night, all drawn at random by their ticket stubs. PDC marker Adie Mason will officiate each game.

There will be a raffle and auction at the interval before Klassen sits down with Sky Sports darts commentator Nigel Pearson, from Wombourne, for a question and answer session.

The venue will also confirm the players for their 'Ashes of Darts' exhibition on Thursday July 14, where two Englishmen and a couple of Aussie counterparts will go head-to-head

Tickets are still available costing £10 and can be purchased online, at either www.clevelandarms.com or www.sportstalkevents.co.uk.

Alternatively, telephone the Cleveland Arms on 01902 451021 or call in to buy behind the bar. There will some available on the door tonight, along with photo opportunities.
