Wolverhampton's Ash Khayat reached the fourth round of the PDC's latest Youth Tour events at the weekend - twice in the same day!
The 19-year-old was dumped out 4-2 by William Robbins in the first round of yesterday's event and had done his best work on Saturday.
The Wednesfield darter was involved in both of the day's tournaments at the Rivermead Centre in Reading and went out at the same stage.
First up, the teenager dumped out Rees Hall, Kurtis Atkins and Curtis Hammond by scores of a whitewash 4-0, 4-1 and 4-3 respectively.
John Seagrave eventually ended his challenge by 4-3, leaving the Black Country prospect to concentrate on the second event of the day.
And Khayat repeated to the trick to see off David Williams, George Killington and Adam Hunt with victories by 4-1, 4-2 and 4-3 respectively.
That set up a second fourth round clash, this time with Reece Robinson, where Khayat was not at the races as he was comprehensively beaten 4-1.
Meanwhile, Wednesbury's Matthew Dicken was left disappointed after going out of all three events with two exits at the first hurdle.
Saturday started badly for Dicken, who went out 4-2 up first to Killington but he went on to put out Daniel King-Morris by 4-2 in the second event.
Josh McCarthy ended his challenge in the second event by 4-3 before the losing darters recoveined for Sunday's event.
But Dicken's luck didn't improve on Sunday, either, as he went out in his first game in a 4-2 defeat to Joshua Parker.
PDC world youth champion James Hubbard and Michael Smith, in that order, won Saturday's events, while Arron Monk took the spoils yesterday.
