Wolverhampton's Wayne Jones has told Gary Anderson to 'watch out' after taking a massive stride towards the knockout stages of the Grand Slam of Darts.

Jones broke a run of three straight televised defeats with a 5-2 win at Wolverhampton Civic Hall against Brendan Dolan, who eliminated him from the first round of the World Grand Prix last month.

That Saturday night win was followed by a 5-3 win over the other opening night winner in his group, Nigel Heydon, last night, with the four-man Group C to be concluded on Tuesday night.

Jones will step up to the oche with world No 4 Gary Anderson, who recovered from losing to Heydon to all-but put out Dolan 5-1 last night.

Last year's Grand Slam saw Anderson beat Jones in the group stages before the tables were turned in the quarter-finals and 'the Wanderer' is ready to go to war again.

He said: "I really don't think there are too many players who can outscore me, but I have done a lot more this weekend than I have done in a while.

"It's been an average year, but there must be something there, because I still don't feel like I have played like I can.

"I feel so much better now, it's in my own hands now and I need a performance against Gary Anderson now.

"I am delighted and I couldn't ask for anymore than I have and, if I can feel great, who knows what is there."
