Stafford Rangers Football Club will welcome Ronnie Baxter for a charity darts night at the end of the month.

'The Rocket' will be by the dartboard in the social club at Marston Road on Friday November 25, to raise money for children's hospice the Donna Louise Trust.

Baxter will compete in anything up to 20 legs against selected members of the audience, drawn by their ticket numbers.

The 50-year-old is a veteran of the pro circuit and has been a PDC player since 2001, after a long career in the BDO.

His appearance comes two months before the World Championships begins, where he will be seeded as one of the top 32, with Baxter reaching the quarter-finals in 2010.

But first Baxter takes in in a light-hearted night with fans, including a 'raffle with Ronnie,' before the big competition starts in December.

Tickets are just £10 and can be purchased by calling event organiser Craig Gibbons on 07973 717 978.
