The Bolddog freestyle motorcycle display team were the star attraction at the Charter Fair at Hagley Park in Rugeley on Saturday.
Spectators held their breath as the bikers soared over a ramp mounted on a huge lorry, jumping huge gaps, all against the backdrop of Rugeley power station.
Bolddog riders can jump gaps of up to 75ft, and perform tricks such as leaving their seat while mid-air.
Charter fair chairwoman and Rugeley town councillor Chris Woodward said the motorcycle display team's thrills and spills performance had gone down a storm on Saturday.
This year's fair marked the 750th anniversary of Rugeley's charter, and the town council planned a jam-packed programme of events to entertain the crowds.
Visitors enjoyed the sounds of a 300-strong choir and a samba band, as well as fun fair rides and an array of market stalls.
Other entertainment at the Hagley Park event included stunts from the Backdraft Wheelie Truck. The day's events were rounded off with a firework display.
Money raised by the annual event goes to local charities.
Rugeley Town Council is planning to continue the 750th anniversary celebrations with a barn dance in the town on June 27. Organisers are hoping revellers will turn up in their cowboy hats and boots and enjoy dancing and a hog roast at the Rose Theatre in the town.
Tickets are now on sale for the event from the town council offices in Taylors Lane. The dance will kick off at 8pm on June 27. For details call 01889 574074.
