IMPORTANCE OF STEEL INDUSTRY
So we are to re-nationalise our steel industry (again!).
Back in the 1980s the then Prime Minister boasted that the United Kingdom was becoming the major country in the world for business services.
At the same time as we were running down our manufacturing base.
Anyone with more than one brain cell could see the problem, without strong manufacturing the business side will not succeed.
I hope they've got it right this time.
The promise of millions of houses in four years is being exposed already - how do you build houses without skilled artisans to do it?
