'How much change has taken place' - Your Letters: March 8

TRIBUTE TO STEEL IS WONDERFUL
I may have missed the great unveiling of the fantastic tribute to Round Oak Steelworks at the junction of Dudley Road and John Street Brierley Hill.
But I have to now congratulate the designer, sculptor and all who took part in its placement this tribute of a furnace ladle with its boiling hot metal being poured.
It is truly outstanding and thought provoking, reminding me of what it was like to grow up and still live in the area and how much change has taken place.
Round Oak was a place where most employment took place, the town was prosperous, the high street was a place where all your shopping needs could be found, everyone would knew each other or it at least appeared that way.
