LETTER: We are all entitled to an opinion about the PM’s decisions
A reader discusses Boris Johnson.
A recent letter from Keith Jones says Government actions have always been to protect the NHS and save lives.
If that is the case why did they decide to come out of lock down in early December, when all of the scientific and medical advice was to do exactly the opposite and play safe? These experts knew that opening up the economy for Christmas would result in chaos in January, with the NHS being overwhelmed and many people dying unnecessarily. That is exactly what has happened.
We are all entitled to our opinions concerning Boris, and mine happens to be that he is far too easily pushed around by people that he owes favours to. This is why he caved in to the wishes of big business, and to the right wing pressure groups who got him into power in the first place. In other words it was putting profit before lives.
This is not anti-Boris rhetoric, these are undeniable facts, and many more families, the NHS and the country as a whole, are now paying the price for this colossal blunder.
