Your last chance to fund a Barack Obama and Joe Biden cartoon

This is a series we’ll definitely be tuning into.

A crowdfunding project to create an animated series in which Barack Obama and Joe Biden time travel has reached its funding target.

The premise of the show is that shortly after the election of Donald Trump, Biden and Obama were taken to a lab and transported into their younger bodies. The pair travel through time to try to influence history and make current reality a better place.

“The show was wildly naive about the world and the silliest kind of science fiction, but it was also fundamentally something we’re lacking right now, which is humanity,” he wrote on the Kickstarter page.

“It had heart and it was about people and it was kind.”

Trump also features as the spectre of a villain, although we’ll never actually see him.

Money raised from the Kickstarter campaign, which has met its funding target of $100,000, will pay for the mini-episode pilot and the prologue show opening. You can still get involved by pledging as little as $5, and can receive a variety of rewards.

If the pilot is successful, audiences can expect to see the show some time around Christmas.
