An officer was seen speaking to motorists parking dangerously outside King Charles Primary School in Walsall last week.
One of the school’s entrances faces onto Mountbatten Road. It is a well-known pinch point during drop-off and pick-up times as drivers battle to get as close to the school gates as possible.
West Midlands Police confirmed an officer was stationed there in response to complaints about ongoing issues with drivers.
The force warned that tickets would be issued to motorists who continue to put others in danger.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’ve received complaints about ongoing issues with parking on pavements on Mountbatten Road.

"Neighbourhood officers have visited the area to speak to motorists about legally parking when dropping children off at school.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and issue tickets to those who still leave their vehicles in dangerous positions, putting others in danger when trying to cross the road.”
King Charles Primary School has been approached for comment.
