Dudley Council has been running free parking throughout the pandemic in a bid to support businesses as they start to recover.
Earlier this month, the council pledged to keep free parking until the end of April but has extended it for another month.
Heidi Marsh-Geyton, acting director of public realm at Dudley Council, said: "As more businesses are now able to open in our town centres, we hope free parking will encourage people to return to our high streets and local centres and support the recovery of those businesses which have been hit really hard in the last 12 months."
