Man taken to hospital as three cars leave the road in Albrighton crash
A man was taken to hospital after a crash in which three cars left the road near Albrighton.
The incident happened on the A464 Holyhead Road near to The Horns of Boningale pub at about 8am today.
The fire service reported the collision involved three vehicles which left the carriageway.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS), West Mercia Police and Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) were on scene.
Paramedics treated two people and the driver of a car which ended up in a ditch, a man, was taken to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital for further treatment.
SFRS sent three engines, including the rescue tender, from Albrighton, Telford Central and Wellington. An operations officer was also in attendance.
Crews used small tools to make the vehicles electrically safe and did not need to release any casualties from their vehicle.
A WMAS spokeswoman said: "We were called at 8.03am to near The Horns pub, Holyhead Road, Albrighton, to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC.
"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene and treated two patients on scene.
"One man, the driver of a car which ended up in a ditch in the collision, was taken to Princess Royal Hospital for further checks."
