Storm Dennis: Landslide floods Bridgnorth home with mud, water and rubble
A landslide caused a home to become flooded with mud, water and rubble at the height of Storm Dennis.
The property, off the A442 near Bridgnorth, became "surrounded by dirt" when the banks to the lane behind collapsed during the storm some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Mounds of soil and branches were scattered across the road while silt and floodwater poured down the lane towards the house.

As a result of the damage, the house was gutted of its belongings during a salvage operation while diggers were used to clear the debris which shut the road.
Repairs were also being done to make the fence, which had been part of the collapsed embankment and left suspended in mid-air, safe to passers by.
One worker from the Apley Estate said the home was initially "surrounded by two-to-three feet of dirt" and would take days to clear.
Graham Downes, Shropshire Council’s highways manager for the area said the authority had "resources" clearing the lane of mud and silt which had left it impassable to traffic.
The lane, south of Allscot near the hamlets of Rindleford and Bromley, acts as a cut through for motorists travelling between Telford and Wolverhampton.
