Men found walking along M5 and lorry crash on M6 spark motorway delays
Motorists were hit by delays after men were found by police walking along the M5 and a separate crash blocked the M6.
Delays hit the region's motorways causing traffic misery on the Monday morning commute.
Officers from Central Motorway Police Group tracked down men found walking along the M5 in the early hours.
They were found near roadworks currently being carried out on the northbound section between junction 2 for Oldbury and junction 1 for West Bromwich.
Reports said two men were found on the M5 at around 6.10am.
Later highways workers were called to help after lorries crashed on the M6 southbound around junction 10 for Walsall and Wolverhampton.
Two lanes were closed following the smash with recovery happening by around 9am.
Up to 45 minute delays were reported by Highways England.
