Walsall Council has approved plans to convert the building at 19 Lichfield Street into a 13 bedroom HMO.
All rooms for the facility will be located on the first and loft floor, and the 13 tenants have shared access to four bathrooms and one kitchen.
Applicant Opulent Property Development Limited said no changes will be made to the exterior of the building, which is located within Lichfield Street Conservation Area.

The detached two-storey building is seen on historic maps dating back to 1883.
Further along the road, the Gables Rest Home at 73 Lichfield Street was given planning permission in March 2025 to become an 11-bedroom HMO.
In September last year, planning permission was granted for 79 Lichfield Street, located next door to the rest home, to be converted into an eight-bedroom HMO.
