Block of 30 Wolverhampton flats set to fetch over £1.8m at auction
Auctioneers are expecting "substantial" interest in a block of vacant city centre flats set to go up for auction with a reserve of £1.85 million next month.
Midlands-based auctioneers Bond Wolfe say the collection of 30 self-contained flats in five connected blocks in Wolverhampton city centre is one of the star lots up for sale in their December auction.
The vacant flats arranged in a quadrant at St. Georges Parade will have a guide price of £1.85 million in the livestreamed auction, which is set to be held on Wednesday December 11.
Located just around the corner from Wolverhampton Library, the property is located a stone's throw from the city's main central attractions and in easy walking distance of the Mander Centre and the railway station.
The flats have gas central heating, an intercom door entry system, fire doors, smoke alarms, emergency lighting and aluminium framed double glazing, with a lift serving each floor in Block 2. The building's communal grounds are also included in the lot, including a courtyard, bin area and store.
Chief executive of Bond Wolfe Gurpreet Bassi added that the freehold property may also be suitable for redevelopment, subject to planning permission.
“We are expecting a lot of interest in this substantial collection of 30 self-contained flats spread across five connected blocks, two reaching four storeys," he said.
“The property is located within a commercial and residential area in a prominent position on the popular St Georges Parade, in the centre of Wolverhampton.
“There are ample amenities within walking distance, including the Wulfrun Shopping Centre, and good road, tram and rail transport routes to surrounding districts."
The auction will get underway at 8.30am on Wednesday, December 11, and will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website.
