Repair works set to start on church
Work to restore a church tower will begin later this month.
Repairs and renovation work to St John the Baptist Church in Shenstone, near Lichfield, will begin on Saturday, August 28.
It will be marked by an opening ceremony on that date, starting at 10am.
Guests will have the chance to see photographs and information about the church.
The reception will take place in the building itself, where coffee and cakes will be available.
Everybody is welcome to attend, saying organisers.
