Question Time returning to Wolverhampton

Politicians are set to be quizzed when a BBC debating show comes to the city.

The University of Wolverhampton will play host to topical debating programme Question Time next Thursday.

It will be broadcast from the Chancellor's Hall, in the university's Wulfran Building, in front of a studio audience of more than 200 people.

The show, which is hosted by David Dimbleby and will be broadcast on BBC1 at 10.45pm, will feature five panellists form the world of politics and media.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Geoff Layer said: “We are delighted to be hosting Question Time at the University of Wolverhampton in the Chancellor’s Hall.

“It is a show synonymous with democratic debate and exploring different ideas and points of view and that is exactly what the University encourages and stands for.

“It is also important for Wolverhampton to be seen on a national stage, particularly with the way the city and region is regenerating itself.”
