Skoda is celebrating European Diversity Month with a one-off version of the Elroq electric SUV.

The Elroq Respectline has been created to show the Czech firm’s commitment to diversity, equality, fairness and inclusion.

The exterior receives a unique rainbow-themed paint job, with the front LED light bar featuring a multi-coloured rainbow-effect all to symbolise the LGBTQ+ community.

Inside, there are recycled materials used throughout, and the rainbow theme continues onto the dashboard, door cards and is embroidered onto the seats, too.

Maren Graf, Skoda Auto board member for people and culture, said: “Diversity, equity, inclusion and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Skoda’s corporate culture. With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Skoda brand ambassador that embodies these values. Our goal at Skoda Auto is to be a role model in caring for our employees and fostering a safe, open and fair workplace for all.”

He added: “We are proud of our commitment to promoting human rights and mutual respect, and we believe that Elroq Respectline will help us carry out these values even further.”

The car will make its first public appearance later this week in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic and Hamburg, Germany.

The Elroq Respectline is just a one-off special, however, the standard car is on sale now priced from £31,510.
