Reality stars from her favourite TV programme have also paid tribute to the teenager who has battled a serious illness.

The 16-year-old from Willenhall was forced to drop out of school two years ago due to her condition and was in hospital when her friends enjoyed their traditional end-of-school knees-up.

She suffers from a chronic stomach condition which has seen her hospitalised eight times in the past four years. After missing out on her big day with former classmates at Pool Hayes Arts and Community School, a fund-raising campaign was launched to pay for a prom night especially for her.

More than £3,500 was raised for the party at the Village Hotel in Walsall through an auction, sponsored walk and other activities.

Before the dig day, cards of support from The Only Way is Essex stars Amy Childs and Sam Faiers arrived.

The avid Albion fan also received a signed shirt from the Baggies team and a video message from her favourite player Saido Berahino. Birmingham rap artist Leo Golden Child performed on the night for her.

Afterwards the singer tweeted: "Holding back the tears before performing was the hardest bit.' And he told prom girl: 'U have a heart as strong as a lion.'

More than 100 family and friends travelled from across the country - including Devon, Northampton and Wales - to join in the celebration.

Tiegan said: "It was better than I ever expected.

"It was amazing to walk into the room with so many of my family and friends there.

"I'd had the idea of having a party a few months ago but it took on a life of its own.

"It escalated beyond by wildest dreams.

"Sam Faiers is my idol, getting a card from her was the best ever."

The reality actress wrote: 'I hope you have an amazing prom, you have been an amazing fan.'

The youngster wore a glamorous floor-length pink dress, with a tiara and silver jewellery. She said: "My dress was lovely, just how I'd imagined. I spotted it a few weeks ago and as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one for me."

Mother Zoe Brownhill said she and husband Wayne were determined to pull out all the stops for their only child.

She said: "We had an amazing night. We had all of the sweet things that normally Tiegan can't have like a chocolate fountain, candy floss, sweet ferris wheel, vanity table of sweets and Ferrero Rocher stand.

"We also pampered all of her friends at the hotel during the day, getting their make-up and nails done.

"Getting the cards from the TOWIE stars was a big highlight Sam has been a massive support. Tiegan has met her a few times at events and Sam recognises her now and stops to chat.

"We would like to give a special thank you to Tesco in Willenhall for all their donations, and Empowering U care in Willenhall for the auction evening they put on. Dawn Hall and Georgina Ross, who are family friends, were also brilliant."

She added: "Her friends have been so supportive, saying she deserves a prom more than anyone.

"This means a lot to all of us cause our lives have been put on hold, her stays in hospital have been around five weeks at a time so it has been a long and complicated road.

"She has hardly done any secondary education whatsoever, the last two years have been the worst for her and she hasn't been to school at all in the past two years.

"She has smiled through everything, she has never complained even though she is in constant pain, and we are so proud of her.

"She is absolutely brave and an inspiration to us all."
