Appeal for witnesses after Kidderminster crash

A police investigation has been launched after a van and motorbike crashed.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a white Vauxhall Combo van and a white Moto Guzzi bike collided in Kidderminster.

It is believed both vehicles may have been on the junction of the A449 at Chester Road, near to the Rose Theatre, and the A456 at Land Oak prior to the crash around 8pm on Sunday.

The van driver, a man in his 30s, failed to stop at the scene but has since been arrested and released under investigation.

The driver of the motorbike, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital and suffered minor injuries.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Officers are urging anyone who saw the vehicles to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 729s of 15 July 2018."
