Woman who went missing near Wyre Forest has been found
A woman who went missing after going to ride her horse to stables near Wyre Forest has been found safe and well.
West Mercia Police confirmed that the family of Amanda Hull, aged 38, had been informed of the news.
Major searches were prompted by the disappearance of Amanda who it was reported had last been seen at 9am on Saturday morning on Haye Lane, in Ombersley, near Stourport.
Her rucksack containing her purse, phone and a hoodie were found in a field.
She had been due to ride her horse, Sunny, from a field to Hadley Riding Stables but when her family telephoned asking whether to collect her they discovered she had never arrived.
Major searches by volunteers were staged during the weekend.
On Monday morning, police confirmed that she had been found "safe and well".
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Her family have been informed.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to the community and everyone who shared our appeal.
"There was huge support from people during this search and we are extremely grateful."
Nick West, aged 43, a friend of the family, said: "I am absolutely elated that Amanda has been found safe and well.
"We have had more than 150 people turn up this morning at the Red Lion pub in Droitwich wsearches were being co-ordinated.
"There has been a tremendous response.
"I cannot say where Amanda was found but the fact that she is safe and well is absolutely fantastic."
