Wolverhampton retailer installed shopfront without permission
The owner of a Wolverhampton supermarket is fighting to retain a new shop front that was built without permission.

The Premier Convenience Store in Harrowby Road, Fordhouses, is seeking retrospective planning permission to retain a new double-glazed shop front with an electric sliding door.
The business was previously known as Pauls Supermarket.
A statement issued on behalf of owner Harinderdip Kaur said: "The proposed development is to remove the existing shop entrance door and side screens and reinstall new aluminium double glazed auto sliding door and side screens, all finished in polyester powder coated finish.
"At the present there is an existing layby in Harrowby Road to the frontage of all the shop units for car parking."
The application said there would be no changes to the boundaries of the property.
"The development is located with a local housing community with access to on the local public transport links to the local and main shopping areas such as Wolverhampton town centre, and railway and bus stations," the application said.
The proposals will be considered by Wolverhampton Council's planning department.
