Fire at derelict Wolverhampton site
A small fire broke out at the long-derelict Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary.
One crew from Wolverhampton attended to put on the blaze on the third floor just after 6pm this evening.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: "The building was searched but no one was inside. It was a small fire contained to the third floor. Firefighters left shortly after."
The site on Compton Road, which has been abandoned for almost 10 years, had been one of a number of plots in the city highlighted for having the potential for new development in recent months.
