Armed robbers make off with cash from Bilston Post Office

Armed robbers wearing skull masks targeted a post office and made off with cash.

The three masked men struck at Bilston Post Office in Hall Street, shoving a shop worker to the floor and then forcing open the till.

An appeal has been launched by West Midlands Police following the robbery, which saw the trio make off with 'a large quantity of cash'.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Bilston Post Office in Hall Street, Wolverhampton just after 2.30pm on Monday to a report of a robbery.

"It is believed three masked men jumped over the counter and pushed the shop attendant to the floor.

"A crow bar was used to force open a till and all three made off with a large quantity of cash.

"A blue Volkswagen Golf was used as a getaway car and it is believed the masks worn had skulls on."

Investigations are currently ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting 20WV/123090T/17.
