Passengers warned of widespread train disruption in West Midlands due to cable theft
Passengers have been warned about widespread train disruption in the West Midlands this morning.

CrossCountry Trains posted on X that due to the theft of signalling cables between Birmingham New Street and Stafford, the line is blocked.
Services running through these stations will be diverted via Bescot Stadium and Wolverhampton will not be served.
Birmingham New Street also posted about disruption on X.
It said: " Due to cable theft in the Tipton area, @AvantiWestCoast services between London & Scotland are delayed while engineers make repairs as quickly as possible.
"Sorry for the inconvenience to your journeys. Please check @nationalrailenq for the latest travel information."
Meanwhile, Avanti West Coast posted: "Due to theft of signalling cables between Wolverhampton and Sandwell & Dudley all lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Bescot Stadium. Sandwell & Dudley will not be served."
