Experts on hand for advice about money, health and safety on Wolverhampton estate

Expert advice on financial matters, health issues and safety will be available at an event held next month.

Help at the Hub will see a wide variety of organisations from across Wolverhampton offer advice and information to residents. 

It has been organised by Wolverhampton Council's Public Protection Scams Team, which will be handing out material free scam-awareness packs.

Advisors from Act on Energy, Alzheimer’s Society,  Citizens Advice, West Midlands Police and Wolverhampton Credit Union will all be taking part in the session at Low Hill Community Centre on June 3, between 11am and 2pm.

Organisations dealing with addiction, tax and benefit officials will also be on hand for advice, along with City of Wolverhampton College, Severn Trent Water, talking therapy experts and Wolverhampton Homes. The Wolves Foundation and a group specialising in early learning for two-year-olds will also be at the centre in Kempthorne Avenue.

Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, the council’s cabinet member for resident services, said: “Once again, we are heading out into the community with another Help at the Hub event.

“These free help days have become regular fixtures in the city’s calendar and I am pleased to see that they continue to prove popular with residents.

"Officers and organisations will be in Low Hill covering a wide range of topics, from energy questions and health concerns to giving out safety and protection advice."
