The natural light display helped to get the 2025 year off to a colourful start as many pulled up a deck-chair and threw on their warmest clothes to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis.
The fantastic event is usually only reserved for those living in high-latitude regions of the world, such as Iceland, Norway and Scotland.
However, as shown by our amazing readers, the majority of the West Midlands and Shropshire could see the display from their very own back gardens.
See below some of the fantastic pictures our readers have sent in.
Jennie Caddy and her son Jason Hissey
The dynamic footy duo, from West Bromwich, captured some brilliant images of the colorful lights over Dartmouth Park as they travelled back from the watching West Bromwich win at The Hawthorns. It was truly a double celebration for them.
In one particular image, you can clearly see the mix of purple, green and blue lights produced from the natural event.
Julie Chetwynd
Julie, from Kidderminster, took these amazing photographs from in front of her own home.
We don't know what phone Julie was using to take these images, however the device truly caught the amazing colours produced by the natural light display.
