Th bearded dream-maker took up an offer from the Tettenhall Rotary Club, who pinged an invite hoping Santa would take the time out to say hello to the children  which, of course, he accepted.

The special event was part of the club's extensive charity work, raising thousands od pounds every year to be inserted straight back into the local community to foster and strengthen the community spirit across the city.

Complete with lights and music, Santa and members of the club were out in numbers in the pouring rain and icy winds, making sure every child got their moment with their hero, and have been about for the last month visiting not just homes, but supermarkets.

The adorable event, now in its 20th year, also brought Father Christmas to see children at the lights switch-on events at Wolverhampton City Centre, Tettenhall, Bilbrook and Bantock Park.

Needless to say, parents and children lined on every street to speak to the big man himself, and were generous with donations, dropping hard-earned money into the shaking donation buckets, together raising money to remind each other that the city is at its best when we all come together.
