The event will raise much-needed funds towards the upkeep of the historic church, which was founded by Lady Wulfrun in 992AD.

Major restoration work is taking place on the chancel of the building at the moment, which is at present surrounded by scaffolding.

The church serves a number of civic functions, including the annual civic service for the new mayor, and the November service of Remembrance.
