'They are ruining the city!' Shoppers on 'shocking' Wolverhampton bus lane fine figures
Wolverhampton shoppers have shared their opinions on bus lane fines in the city, after the Express & Star revealed three cameras have made the city council millions in recent years.

In four years, around £2.4 million has been netted from just three bus lane cameras in Wolverhampton city centre, leading to councillors calling for more action in reducing the amount of people caught.
The most prolific cameras are the two in Victoria Square, on the junction between Queen Street, Pipers Row and Berry Street. Between them, the cameras have raked in around £1.8 million in fines during the period of April 2020 to September 2024.
In response to the high number of fines, we asked Wolverhampton shoppers for their opinions on the notorious cameras, and if they think they help or hinder the city centre.
Sarah James, who parks on the outskirts of the city to walk in, said: "It's shocking really, It's an extra annoyance on people's difficult lives. They just want to come to Wolverhampton city centre, which is lovely, but they can't because there are so many aggravating factors.
