Crash involving delivery truck causes traffic delays near Wolverhampton

Buses were diverted in a village near Wolverhampton after a minor collision between a lorry and a coach on a country lane.

The incident caused a traffic jam in Pattingham Road near the Hollies Lane in Nurton near Perton shortly before 8.15am today.

It involved a truck which was believed to be delivering construction materials to a property near Perton Ridge and a white A T Brown coach.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson confirmed that a lorry and a coach were involved in the collision and that no-one was hurt.

Bus operator National Express West Midlands warned passengers of delays to the service 10A.

It said the service which runs between Wolverhampton and Pattingham had been diverted via Jenny Walkers Lane and Clive Road.

The bus company went on to apologise to customers for disruption to their journeys.

Coach operator A T Brown has been contacted for comment.
