Traffic diverted after crash in Wolverhampton

An accident involving two cars caused disruption for bus passengers in Wolverhampton.

The accident happened on Lea Road in Wolverhampton at around 1.10pm.

It caused the number two bus which runs between Bushbury Hill and Penn Fields to be diverted via the Penn Road.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: "A passing ambulance crew came across an RTC involving two cars on Lea Road in Wolverhampton at around 1.10pm.

"One man was assessed by ambulance staff and treated for minor injuries. He did not wish to go to hospital and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene."

Bus services in the area are now running normally.
