Fullwood's landscape paintings of the Black Country earned him international fame and captured his city being transformed by the Industrial Revolution.

However, despite recognition from the art world, a heritage blue plaque has yet to be erected in Wolverhampton as for years it was thought he was from Birmingham.

The artist's descendants, cousins David and Paul Fullwood, want to right the historic wrong and have a blue plaque placed on Lichfield Street, opposite Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
