Previously known as The Bridge, the office in Temple Street has been empty for several years and has since fallen into a state of disrepair. New owner Adrian Ballard of Abersytwyth-based Ballard Properties UL Ltd has been given the go-ahead to transform the building into modern living accommodation.

In a statement to planners, Bruce Jones of Wolverhampton-based DPS Architects, said: “The two-storey property lies near the junction with Summer Row, but the building has lapsed into a state of dereliction. The owners now wish to transform it into living space, which will involve internal and external renovation works.

“Located just outside the city centre, it is easily accessible for leisure and entertainment amenities and will enhance the quality of the public realm in the local area, supported by recent developments at the nearby casino and St John’s House.
