Rotarians launch annual tree of remembrance project
Rotarians are calling on people to honour acts of kindness during the pandemic as an annual tree of remembrance project was launched.

Tettenhall Rotary Club is asking people to donate cash to charities in exchange for having their remembrance message displayed on a giant television screen in the window of Peter James Properties, Tettenhall.
Members of the public are invited to remember acts of kindness during the pandemic; NHS or key workers who have gone the extra mile to help others; a loved one who is no longer with us; or someone who has given their life serving their country.
Last year the club raised more than £16,000 over the Christmas period, with major donations made to Compton Care, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance, Kingswood Trust and the Good Shepherd Centre.
In addition, 15 other charities including food banks, Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre, community centres, youth groups and facilities for disabled children benefitted from donations.
Organiser Roger Webb, said: "This year the emphasis will be on donations to smaller local charities and good causes who desperately need support.
"Please help us raise funds for local good causes by remembering a loved one or someone who deserves recognition."
The project has been backed by Wolverhampton South West MP Stuart Anderson. He said: "2020 has been an exceptionally hard year for everyone, and it is great to see the community coming together to remember loved ones at this time."
Visit www.give.net/TettenhallRemembers2020 to access the scheme, and make a donation of £5, £10, £15 or £20.
Alternatively, postal forms can be downloaded from TettenhallRemembers.org.uk.
All donations will go to Tettenhall Rotary Club for distribution to local charities and good causes.
