Huge tree snaps and crashes into building in Wolverhampton

Part of a huge tree snapped off and crashed into the front of a building in Wolverhampton today.

Part of the massive tree that fell, at Priory Court, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton

Firefighters were called to Waterloo Road near Molineux to make the area safe.

The road had to be closed both ways after the tree fell.

The massive tree, from which part of it fell at Priory Court, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, opposite the Molineux Stadium

West Midlands Ambulance Service was not called to the scene.

West Midlands Fire Service Technical Rescue tweeted saying: "Working with Wolverhampton Fire to make the area safe after a large tree struck this walkway."

West Midlands Fire Service has been asked to comment.
