Businesses in Wolverhampton to receive support in 'whichever way' possible
Businesses in Wolverhampton will be supported in "whichever way possible" through coronavirus, council chiefs have said.

A range of assistance is on offer through Wolverhampton Council and Government schemes – with companies in the city signposted to support.
It comes after the announcement of the Bounce Back Loan which will help small businesses across the country.
Councillor Harman Banger, cabinet member for city economy, said: "The changes necessary to stop the spread of coronavirus is making it a hugely challenging time for all employers and businesses.
"In addition to the Government’s economic support measures, the council is also continuing to work on other ways it can support the Wolverhampton business community.
"Our work with regional partners is also vitally important in providing targeted advice and guidance or sign-posting businesses to the best sources of help.
"Rest assured, we will make sure every business is supported in whichever way possible."
Small businesses will be able to apply for up to £50,000 worth of support through the Government's Bounce Back Loan, which launches on May 4.
Business owners have also been urged to use the Job Retention Scheme – with chiefs urging owners to contact Wolves at Work for training opportunities at wolvesatwork@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
Other support can be found at The Black Country Growth Hub, the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Business.
Anyone who requires business support can call the council's advice line on 01902 290242 between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Thursday or from 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
