Suspicious package found at Royal Mail sorting office in Wolverhampton
A suspicious package has been found at a Royal Mail depot in Wolverhampton.
Emergency services descended on the Royal Mail sorting office in Sun Street after a 999 call just before 9am.
Police, fire and ambulance services all attended.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said staff headed to the incident involving a suspicious package after receiving a 999 call at 8.57am.
One ambulance, three paramedic officers and the Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Jamie Arrowsmith said: “We assessed one patient, a woman who had come into contact with the package, who was discharged at the scene.”
A West Midlands Police spokesman: "Police are currently in attendance at the Royal Mail delivery office in Sun Street, Wolverhampton following a report of a suspicious package containing an unknown substance."
