O’Hara, who played at Molineux between 2011 and 2014, was charged with assault by beating after lashing out at the 14-year-old following Billericay Town's defeat to Leatherhead in April.

Today he appeared at Guildford Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty.

He was fined £400 and told his must pay £50 compensation to the victim, £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

A video of the incident appears to show the boy put his hand out towards O’Hara who then reacts aggressively when the hand is withdrawn.

O'Hara, aged 31, joined Wolves from Tottenham for £5million in June 2011 but became deeply unpopular with supporters during the club's fall from the Premier League into League One. He was released in November 2014.

He appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in January during his time out of the game. He joined non-league Billericay Town in March.
