Wolverhampton dental surgery donation raises smiles
A generous dental surgery and its patients have been helping to raise smiles with a £500 donation to Compton Hospice.
Treetops in Duck Lane, Codsall, donated cash each time a patient checked in online as part of the fundraising drive for the city charity, which provides support for people with terminal illnesses.
Speaking of the charity campaign, Treetops Dental Surgery director Polly Bhambra said: “We are so pleased to be able to help such a worthy cause and proud to offer our support for the fantastic work done at the hospice. This donation is more than monetary as it reflects the gratitude of the community to the hospice.”
There were even more smiles at the practice as director Polly was shortlisted as Business Woman of the Year at the Nachural Summer Business Ball Awards.
Her commitment to the area, including her work to support charities like Compton Hospice, was among the reasons she was put up for the awards.
Earlier this year, the practice also organised the city’s first dental conference.
More than 100 dental professionals, including dentists, dental nurses, practice managers and many other industry leaders, attended.
Representatives from big companies Oral B and Colgate exhibited, whilst guest lecturers were also delivered on the day by dental surgeon Dr Catherine Rutland.
