Man, girl and 'heavily pregnant' woman escape Willenhall house after shed fire spreads

A man, girl and heavily pregnant woman fled a house in Willenhall after fire spread to it from a blazing shed.

Around 20 firefighters from Fallings Park, Wolverhampton, Willenhall and Bilston were called to the severe shed fire in Tobruk Walk, Willenhall.

The fire had spread to soffit fascia boards and drainage down pipes on the house.

The occupiers were out of the building by the time crews arrived and the pregnant woman was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: "We were called at 11pm last night to a severe fire on a shed attached to a house on Tobruk Walk.

"Four crews from Fallings Park, Wolverhampton, Willenhall and Bilston attended the scene, with 20 firefighters.

"A man, woman and girl exited the property prior to our arrival.

"A heavily pregnant woman received precautionary checks from West Midlands Ambulance Service and was taken to hospital for checks on advise from paramedics."
