WATCH: Hero saves man from burning home during terrifying fire
A firefighter's son has been hailed as a hero after freeing a trapped man from a burning building in the nick of time.
Lee Bullwright leapt into action as others stood and watched as smoke billowed out of the upstairs bedroom window of the victim’s house in Willenhall.
A passing team of builders had stopped at the scene and taken a three tier ladder off the roof of their van to help with the rescue after people failed to open the front door to the property in Walsall Road.
Tyre fitter Lee was at work round the corner in Gough Street when he saw smoke on Saturday.

The 29-year-old was met by Danielle Babb, aged 22, who lives nearby and shouted at him to come and help.
She said: “Lee ran to the ladder and went straight up it to the first floor window.”
Lee said: “I was running on pure adrenaline. When I got up to the window I started to choke on the smoke that was pouring out.
“It was so dense I couldn’t see anything but then he appeared from inside. He had been looking for his dog.
“I told him to get out while he had the chance. He is a big lad and it was a small window but I managed to drag him through it.
“He could not breathe properly and did not look well. I stood on the window sill and helped him onto the ladder.
Scott came up to me, gave me a hug and said: ‘Thank you you saved my life.’”
Crews from Bilston, Walsall and Willenhall stations arrived shortly afterwards and went into the property and found the victim’s dog which was still alive when brought out of the building but died soon afterwards.
Firefighter Wesley Davis from Bilston fire station said afterwards: “The guy who got him out probably saved his life.”
Lee’s father Fredrick was a fireman based in Northfield for 20 years.
