Millie, an eight-month-old pug cross, is said to have been taken during a break-in on Hednesford Road on Monday night.

Both West Midlands Police and K9 Search are appealing for information over Millie's whereabouts.

She is described as being a fawn colour with black shadings and wears a pink collar with diamantes, a tag and ID. She is microchipped and has been spayed.

Millie's owner, Sarah Carter, admitted she was 'frightened' about what might happen to Millie if people find out she has been neutered.

She added: "The family is in bits, I am in absolute bits. I have been to vets and have been looking out everywhere, I just do not know what else to do.

"It was about ten to eight on Monday night when a window was prised open. They took some personal belongings as well as Millie."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police on 101 or call K9 Search on 07988 433187.
