There will be plenty of time to enjoy the sun as highs of 23C are anticipated for much of the West Midlands, but with Spring in full swing and light sunny nights starting to show, some might be plotting their next day on the beach, and there are plenty to choose from within driving distance to the Black Country.
So whether it's a weekend break, day trip or week away, here are a selection of beaches that locals can make the most of the next time an urge but dip in the ocean appears.
The beach you go to will depend very much on where you're based, those in Stafford, Shropshire and areas of the Black Country more north will be looking at beaches in Wales and Liverpool.
While those in the southern part of the Black Country like Stourbridge and Kingswinford will be heading down south to Western-super-Mare.
It takes one hour and 54 minutes to get to Wallasey Beach from Wolverhampton by car, or two hours and 16 minutes by public transport.
Located on Merseyside, the mile-long beach features flat sand, perfect for walking and playing.
It takes two hours and 11 minutes to get to Prestatyn Beach by car, or two hours and seven minutes by public transport.
Located in North Wales, Prestatyn Beach is well equipped for water sports including surfing, sailing and windsurfing.
