June Edwards is the proprietor of The Old Tea Rooms situated in the heart of the small picturesque town in a property called Walsall House, a listed building and part of the Barmouth heritage trail.
She is selling up at the age of 76, just over 30 years since she brought the property , a former leather goods shop which dates back to the early 18th century and was named after the town which is synonymous with the trade.
And it is fair to say June is steeped in Black Country heritage, with her mother hailing from Kingswinford and the family moving to Dudley when she was two.
Not only that, her grandfather Bertie Thomas-Harwood, was a former mayor of Dudley between 1939-40.
He ran a successful hardware shop in Dudley and it seems the business gene runs in the family as June ran the tea rooms between 1994-2007 before renting it out to others whilst still living 'above the shop'
